The population statistics have been taken down on August 19, 2009 as it was using too much server resources. (News post here)
In time, the scripts that run/display the population statistics will be recoded to make gathering and displaying the population statistics more efficient.

Meanwhile, we apologize for the inconvenience but there is nothing that can be changed about this situation right now.
